Hong Kong is nicknamed "Pearl of the Orient" because it features the most skyscrapers in the world. There are 1,223 skyscrapers in Hong Kong, which puts the city at the top of world rankings. The high density and tall skyline of Hong Kong's urban area are due to a lack of available sprawl space. This lack of space causes demand for dense, high-rise offices and housing. As a result of the lack of space and demand for construction, few older buildings remain, and the city is becoming a center for modern architecture. More and more buildings, but less and fewer public spaces and green areas. People are being forced to live in a concrete jungle.

Seattle had a land area of 217.3 km², and a population of 608,660 people. The city itself is hilly, though not uniformly so because there is the sea, rivers, forests, lakes, and fields surrounding it. Seattle's mild, temperate, marine climate allows year-round outdoor recreation, including walking, cycling, hiking, motor boating, sailing, team sports, and swimming. Besides, there are many well-designed facilities and places too. For example, Pike Place Market, Seattle Center Library, and Gas Works Park, etc. Must be mentioned is Lake Union Park. As a union where re-design to allow citizens to work hard and play hard. Seattle is a place not only for living but also living well. People are living with nature and community. Here is the ideal city where I would like to live.

No matter Hong Kong or Seattle, I would love to name them as my "homes". Hong Kong is not only is my hometown but also an exploration of my thoughts. Hong Kong is an international city, there are a lot of people from many different countries living in one small place, which has helped me learn to accept people from different backgrounds. At the same time, it also provides many special experiences which come from Chinese and Western ideologies. For example, the buildings, land-use, and communication. Living in Hong Kong has helped me to see the things from crowing and luxury. It is a place that helps me to become more open-minded about different cultures. Thus, those experiences help me assimilate into Seattle's life. I love to meet with friends, cook, and stroll in the city. Through the strolling experiences, I can explore a more beautiful and unique landscape architecture which I haven't see in Hong Kong. Try to slow down and understand a city by the heart and observation.
